Our Mission & Vision

What to expect at Townsend Community Church

We hope you feel welcome and we invite you to be a part of this community as we meet in person and online on Sunday mornings at 10:00 AM. Our worship gathering lasts approximately 75 minutes, and you can expect music, prayer, and teaching from the Bible. All ages are welcome, and children are encouraged to participate with their families.

Planning a Visit?

When you arrive, you will be greeted at the door and invited to enter our auditorium, where we gather for worship. Grab a cup of fresh-brewed coffee or tea, on the way in or bring in a mug of your own.

Partway through the worship service, children from preschool through Grade 6 will be invited to Bible Learning geared to children at their age and stage of development. We also offer care for infants and toddlers in the nursery and preschool rooms starting at 10 AM. These rooms are near our main auditorium and are available for parents throughout the worship service.

Welcome to TCC!

“The Bible is our rule of faith, and Christ alone is Lord,
All we are equal in His sight when we obey His word;
No earthly master do we know, to man-rule will not bow,
But to each other and to God eternal trueness vow”

Who We Are

Our Team & Leadership

With passion and urgency, I desire to see the Kingdom of God grow through effective outreach, intentional discipleship and focused mentoring. I consider it a blessing in so many ways to provide spiritual care to the church that Jesus said He would build.

Ross Brown - Lead Pastor

Pastor

Hi, I’m Ross, and I’m the Lead Pastor at Townsend Community Church.  I began my pastoral ministry here at TCC in October of 2023 and have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the awesome people of this community. Noreen and I have been in ministry together for over 37 years and have had the wonderful privilege of serving God in many different scenarios. We also have the honour of parenting three amazing (now) adult and married children, as well as three grandchildren. I enjoy (well, let’s be honest) I love sports, reading, travelling, and, most of all, hanging out with my wife and family.

We Do Some Really Cool Things Here at TCC!

We love to connect with the surrounding community and make our space available to our neighbors.

OUTREACH & CARE MINISTERIES:

This group of TCC people take care of short-term and emergency needs both inside and outside our church family in the wider community. This can take the form of delivering meals to people experiencing a family crisis, free food cards for those experiencing financial distress, free gas cards for those needing to travel back and forth to the hospital during an ongoing health issue. We look after many other needs that might spring up at any time.

Regular Events Here at TCC!

Join us with each community event

“SMALL GROUPS” MINSITRY:

Each fall and spring TCC holds our Small Groups in various homes in the area. This is a time to meet and get to know people at a deeper level as well as engage in the study of the Bible and relevant topics. Times and places will be announced as they are set.

“SEW MUCH”

is a ministry made up of TCC individuals that are in the process of making quilts. The goal is to provide quilts for the residents at Parkview Meadows Long term care facilities in Townsend.

DISCIPLESHIP CLASSES:

From time to time, we hold an adult class called “Digging Deeper”. These classes are open to anyone and will be held before the morning service. Details of each topic will be available at the beginning of each new class.
